The trip upstairs was a quick one and surprisingly smooth. Zayvier navigated his way through with commendable ease, considering he’d never once set foot inside before that day. That and he’d never really glanced around to see where he was going. He was wholly focused on exploring Roya’s mouth. His kiss was deep, searching and boldly flavored with possession.

Only when he’d reached the 2nd floor landing, did he break the kiss to gruffly inquire, “Where?” All the while his lips and teeth grazed her neck.

Roya sent an absent wave over her shoulder. “End of the hall,” she said before restarting their kiss.

Hungrily, their tongues battled and while Roya was all but mesmerized by the act, it didn’t stop her from trying to get Zayvier out of his shirt. He offered no assistance there, so she exercised what little patience she could.

The master suite was an airy oasis of cream and gold. The day’s waning light, didn’t flood the room thanks to the privacy blinds that were still drawn. Short, stout lamps occupied various spots around the space and doused the area with faint bursts of gold.

Zayvier maintained his sure-footed gait and took the rounded steps up to the California King sitting atop a white oak platform. He dropped Roya to the gold cashmere comforter and followed her down. He took care not to crush her beneath his considerable weight and lay next to her to once again indulge in another slow scan of her body half bared to his gaze.

“Stop me,” he said, even as she arched and bit her lip in response to his thumb circling one dusky nipple.

“No,” Roya managed to gasp the word before it was swallowed up by another shameless moan. That one was in response to his nose circling her other nipple in the same manner his thumb behaved. The next word she uttered was a choked plea to encourage him to take her into his mouth. She went as far as to sink her fingers into his glorious hair and tug him where she wanted him.

Instead of granting her silent request, Zayvier rose up to strip off the stone gray T-shirt he sported.

Roya could literally feel her mouth going dry at the sight of what she’d already suspected was a superbly crafted chest. Apparently, the communications mogul didn’t spend all his time adding to his lucrative empire. He clearly found time to spend in the gym as well. The man was chiseled as though shaped by a sculptor’s hand.

“Stop me,” he urged yet again.

That time, Roya thought she’d glimpsed the hint of a smile tugging his gorgeous mouth.

Zayvier must’ve realized that. “I’m serious,” he said in case she had any doubts.

“So am I,” Roya countered.

He helped himself to her body then, devouring the nipple and the plump mound surrounding it as he licked and sucked. His thumb and forefinger toyed with the other tip before his hand drifted, skirting Roya’s waist until arriving at the fastening of her shorts. She arched in anticipation when his thumb brushed the button securing the denim.
